Onion pie

delicious onion pie

This onion pie is a must make pie.
I've made this pie so many times and it's unbelievably delicious and good.
I actually had this recipe on paper from my mother in law, but  I lost it, so I tried to make it
as I remembered.
You can make it without the dough, although it's better with it.
onion pie
Dough (optional):
1 egg
1 cup flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. olive oil

1 large onion + a small one, diced and pan fried with vegetable oil
2 eggs
1 cup flour
salt and pepper for taste (or about 1 Tbsp. salt and 1 tsp. black pepper)
grated cheese according to taste or about 3/4 cup
1/2 cup milk

*Measurements were made with 180ml plastic cup.

Preheat oven to 180C/356F.
Mix together the dough ingredients  and knead to a smooth unified dough.
Roll to a thin layer, so it will match the bottom of a baking tin.
Place the dough on the baking tin, mix the filling ingredients and pour on top.
Bake for about 45 minutes.
