Best ever crispy Chicken rings

delicious chicken rings
I love chicken rings, onion rings and basically many kinds of food that get a nice frying.
After making chicken rings at home, you won't want the store bought kind.
The process can be a bit sticky, but it's worth it.
The rings come out so delicious and with not much of a fuss, you have a pretty nice
and quite healthy meal.
chicken rings
1 kilo (=2.2 pound) ground chicken
1/2 medium onion, diced
1 egg
1/2 tsp. salt (or more for taste)
1/2 tsp. black pepper
bread crumbs
oil for frying

Mix all of the ingredients together, except from the bread crumbs.
Place the bread crumbs on a plate and with wet hands take a piece out of the ground chicken mixture and form a donut shape by making a ball and then forming a hole
in the middle with your fingers.
Coat with the bread crumbs and let sit in the freezer for couple of minutes, so it will be easier to work with.
You can bake, deep fry or fry with a small amount of oil.
I've made those chicken rings with just a small amount of oil.

You can serve those chicken rings with a dip, with veggies or any side dish you wish.
