I love cooking and baking, but sometimes I don't have the energy to make something, but I still want to pamper my family.
And that time is exactly when recipes like this are born. An easy-fix less than 5 minutes recipe that warms your heart and belly :-)
So when you feel exhausted or powerless, but still need a good sweet dessert on had, you have to keep this recipe on hand - no-bake Strawberry-Cheesecake bars.
No-bake Strawberry-Cheesecake bars/recipe: Con Delight
The measurements were made using universal cups and spoons
Ingredients:
850 grams of 5% quark creamy soft cheese by Tnuva or light cream cheese (about 30 oz.)*
250 grams petit beurre/shortbread/biscuits, finely crushed (about 8.8 oz.)
1/2 cup instant vanilla pudding
Strawberry jam
Preparation:
Take about 2-4 tablespoons of cream cheese and mix with the crushed biscuits.
Flatten on a pan and start making the cream cheese filling:
Whip the cheese with the instant vanilla pudding, until you get a strong and stable cream and pour on top of the biscuits. Spread evenly and as smooth as possible. It is best using an extended palette knife (like the one shown in the photo).
Take the strawberry jam and place a few dollops of jam on top. Make swirls using a wooden skewer and place it in the fridge for the night (and not less).
Then, cut carefully and serve. The cake stabilizes in the fridge quite well.
Scoop the crumbs left in the pan to the serving plate next to the cake and enjoy this delight!
