There's nothing like falafel in a pita with tahini, hummus, and veggies, well there is but it's so delicious.
The original falafel is deep-fried, and I wanted to make a healthier version of it.
This falafel is vegetarian, vegan, and quite healthy.
Ingredients:
Chickpeas soaked overnight
Salt
Pepper
Dried Parsley
Dried Coriander
Garlic
Oil for pan
Preparation:
Soak chickpeas overnight, replace water at least 3 times.
Strain the chickpeas and In a food processor, place the chickpeas and add seasoning according to taste. Blend well and taste; if needed, add more spice.
Put oil in a pan, so the oil covers all surfaces.
Heat oven to 180 degrees Celsius (356 Fahrenheit)
Roll the chickpeas mixture into small balls, place in the oil, and flip the balls in the oil, so they are covered in every side.
Bake in the oven for 25 minutes. Halfway through baking, turn the balls upside down, so they will golden on the other side too.
You can serve with Tahini, Enjoy!
This sounds yummy! I will have to try making this soon :)
