The Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra has returned to perform in their own home turf at the Henry Crown Hall, and you're invited to enjoy a variety of concerts in Passover.
Spring brings fresh starts and seems as if life is starting slowly to get back on course. To celebrate spring and Passover, the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra invites its audience to enjoy its best conductors and performers in March.
Ofer Amsalem, JSO's Ceo, said: "Last week we returned to the concert hall for the first concert in front of a crowd in months, where we solely performed online. The classical music enthusiasts were eager to return to the concert's hall, and they felt it".
What concerts can you expect to hear from the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra in March and Passover?
Rhapsodies with Dr. Astrith Baltsan
On the 19th of March at 11:00 AM at the Henry Crown Hall in Jerusalem Theater, you can enjoy a series of new concerts by Dr. Astrith Baltsan.
It is a one of its kind program that will include concerts for adults with an explanation. Dr. Baltsan will narrate the show from her piano, while the conductor, Ido Shpitalnik, will lead the orchestra.
The first concert of the series will focus on the free-style orchestral work - the rhapsody.
The JSO will perform raphsodies by Liszt, Enescu and Rachmaninoff.
Concert Length: Around 70 minutes.
"Vehi She'Amda" Passover concert
On the 24th of March at 8:00 PM at the Henry Crown Hall in Jerusalem Theater, you can enjoy a special Passover concert.
Eli Jaffe will conduct the unique holiday program with the cantors Simon Cohen, Zvi Weiss, Avremi Kirschenbaum, Yaki Lauer, and singer Shimon Elbaz.
The concert will include a festive overture, Passover Medley, Tefilat Tal, Adir Hu, Seder night Medley, etc.
Program length: Around 60 minutes.
