We arrived around 8:00 pm to the pub, and the place was spry and lively. The pub is designed elegantly and impressively with a lavish bar, widescreen TV, and a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere.
You can sit on a high stool by the bar, sit around tables with tall chairs next to it, or in two distinctive areas.
The first area is the outer complex, which also reflects the name of the bar, the "rooftop." This complex is suitable for smokers, where the highlight in it is the roof.
On summer days or at least when it is not raining, the roof opens up to reveal the beautiful skies. You can chillax on cushioned chairs and hammocks next to lovely greenery.
We, as I mentioned, got on a time where it was pouring with rain so that we couldn't test that attraction closely.
The other complex is the VIP lounge — a compound with golden sofas and massive screen TV. And a private and separate sound system that can hold up to 30-35 people.
The VIP lounge allows enjoying a more intimate and private area, while still enjoying the vibes of the lively pub outside thanks to the aquarium-like structure.
The super friendly and cheerful shift manager, Avi, gave me a tour of the area and told me that the place is open for about six months now, and the place is highly successful among all crowds. Be it religious, secular, Orthodox, and more.
As befits to any pub that respects itself, the place offers about 25 types of beer from Ireland, Germany, the United States, Belgium, England, France, Israel, and more. In addition to a wide range of alcohol booze and on Thursday and Saturday night, you can also enjoy DJs.
Moreover, every now and then, special events are held. Such as a fashion event on the 4th of February, where you can also win prizes.
And between 5:00 - 7:00 pm from Sunday to Thursday, you can enjoy a 1+1 sale on all the beers from the barrels.
We got a table on the VIP lounge and tried to decide what to order. Meanwhile, we got to try the chef's focaccia that came with peppers, cherry tomatoes, and garlic and was so fresh and delicious.
Since we are on an Irish style bar called "Patricks," we decided to try the Patricksburger and the Irish pastry.
Before we ordered the Irish pastry, I tried to understand if this is an authentic Irish dish, and I was explained that the inspiration is from an Irish recipe, but with a take (Interpretation) of their own on the dish.
The Patricksburger is a dish from a homemade recipe with special ingredients served alongside thin crispy and not soggy French fries.
At first, the dish seemed a bit dry to me since I didn't see any sauce, but fortunately, I worried for nothing.
Once I bite the hamburger, It was juicy, moist, and tasty.
I guess I would have still loved to have ketchup inside, but I think it is just me :-) Price: 65 NIS.
Then we tried the second course, which was the Irish pastry. We enjoyed it more than the burger.
The Irish pastry is actually some sort of a combo between lahmajun and Sinya with a pastry topped with minced meat, vegetables, and lots of lots of tahini. And it is cut just like pizza slices.
The white sauce on the pastry first seemed to me as melted cheese, but I soon realized that the waiter updated us that this dish comes with tahini.
The amount of tahini was excellent and gave a pleasant and juicy taste to each and every bite. Price: 55 NIS.
In addition to meat dishes, the place offers many fish dishes such as fish and chips, roasted salmon, plancha Corvina, and more. Also, they provide meals that are recommended next to a beer such as Nachos, onion rings, and chips. Grill toast, chicken wings, sausages, and more.
And a variety of salads for those who want to save their calories for the drinks and cocktails. And a burger for vegans.
Then, we ordered two desserts out of the dessert menu: Chocolate cube and Creamino.
At first, I thought of ordering the chocolate cube and another dessert. Still, when I was about to order the second dessert, Jenny the waitress recommended the creamino and I mistakenly thought she was saying something else and said that that was exactly what I was about to order.
After she left, I realized my mistake but decided to stick with it. After all, it is a recommended dessert.
The chocolate cube is a homemade Belgian chocolate cake served with vanilla-flavored ice cream. The cake doesn't look that beautiful, and it was quite hard taking a picture of it from a flattering angle, but what's for sure you have to try it.
This non-dairy parve dessert is a pure pleasure of hot chocolate cake melted in your mouth with vanilla sorbet ice cream. Price: 39 NIS.
The Creamino is a cold dessert of nougat cream with salted pretzel crumbs that also comes in the shape of a cake slice.
It is an indulging dessert that leaves you wanting more. Price: 39 NIS.
It is highly recommended to finish the meal with one of these fine desserts.
During the evening we had several different waiters that were very nice. However, we had one waitress, Jenny, that was our main waitress, and I have to commend her service.
She was very friendly and made sure that nothing was missing, not only to us but also to the other guests on the premises.
