I've decided to make it a bit healthier with no butter nor margarine and, making it a quite healthy vegan cookie and also a gluten-free one, so that everyone could enjoy it.
The outcome is really delicious, not precisely hamantashen, but still very good.
You can bake it for 5-7 minutes and then leave it to set outside of the oven, making it quite soft or baking it for about 15 minutes and making it crisp, tough, and great as well.
Ingredients for 13-14 cookies:
1 cup gluten-free flour
8 Tbsp. almond spread / 1/2 cup
3 Tbsp. tap water
chocolate cubes
Preparation:
Preheat oven to 180C /356F, turbo.
Mix all of the ingredients, except for the chocolate.
Roll to a very thin layer and cut circles.
Place a chocolate cube in the center of each circle and close the dough edges together
(View how-to in the images).
Bake for 5-7 minutes to a quite soft cookie and let it sit outside of the oven.
Or bake for about 15 minutes to a tough, crispy cookie.
Do you use GF all purpose flour? Do you think rice flour or almond flour would work?
השבמחקI use gluten free flour made of cornstarch and stabilizers.
מחקI don't have experience with the other two, but I think it will be okay.
Look tasty. Thank you for that vegan recipe.
השבמחקThank you for stopping by :-)
מחקIs there ever a bad hamantashen? And they have chocolate!
השבמחקlol yeah you right :-) Thanks for commenting and stopping by :-)
מחקWow ,nice with chocolate. Can I use all purpose flour.
השבמחקHi, I believe it should be fine. In case the dough is too crumbly, just add extra water.
מחקAnd thank you very much!
