McFarland USA is a regular movie with a predictable plot, but this fine two-hour movie moved me, made me laugh, and fascinated me.
This Disney movie is based on a true story and is about a football coach that ends up in a town where most of the residents are Mexican and trains a group of teenagers who doesn't believe they could ever achieve something in life, to become cross country athletes.
It might sound boring, but it is a great movie that focuses on the coach, the teenagers he trains, and their not so simple life, yet with amusing, fun moments.
The crew and the lead actor Kevin Costner do a marvelous job, and this one is definitely worth watching.
IMDB well deserved rating: 7.5
