Lake Constance (Bodensee) in the Alps is located near Germany, Switzerland, and Austria.
The lake is actually a very important drinking water source for Southwestern Germany.
There are 3 major islands on the lake, but the one we visited and I'm going to tell you about is Mainau.
Mainau is a very beautiful garden island.
It consists of beautiful flowers, a greenhouse with plenty of gorgeous butterflies, and nice sitting areas with views of the lake.
A large peacock and a flower made out of tons of flowers:
And those huge flower fields:
There is an admission fee, but if you enjoy photography, nature and beautiful flowers, this is a place for you.

Now, what can be a more suitable recipe than a beautiful flower ice cream cake?
These cakes were prepared in a flower silicone mold, but you can prepare them in any mold you prefer.
Ingredients for 6 servings:
Brownie layer:
100 gram/ 3.527 ounce melted butter
2 M eggs
1/2 cup cocoa
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/3 cup flour
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/4 cup water
*Measurements were made with a 200ml (=6.76 fluid ounce) cup. Instead of my brownie mixture, you
can use prepared brownie cake or a brownie mix and bake according to instructions.
Cookies layer:
12 Oreo cookies
1 Tbsp. cream cheese
1 Tbsp. instant vanilla pudding
Dulce de leche ice cream
Preparation:
Heat oven to 180C/356F.
Fill half of the flower molds with the ice cream and let sit in the freezer.
Mix together all the brownies ingredients and transfer onto a large greased pan, so the batter thickness is quite thin.
Bake for about 15 minutes and set aside to cool.
In a food processor, mix the cookies, instant vanilla, and cream and transfer on top of the ice cream in the molds.
Cut the brownies into circles and press onto the cookie and cream mixture.
Place in the freezer for a couple of hours till sets completely.
