Sometimes I want to make something that looks like I spent hours making it when all I actually needed was a couple of minutes.
So that's exactly what I did with these dessert cups. I made delicious-looking individual no-bake cheesecake dessert cups with strawberry jam.

I love cheesecakes, and the number of recipes on my blog can testify on that :-). But this time, I wanted to make something a bit different.
Ever since we ate that mini cheesecake in a jar dessert in one of "cafe, cafe" restaurants, I wanted to make that dessert at home, knowing this is a very simple-to-make and delicious dessert.

I tried making a copycat version of that dessert but add to it more sparkle and beauty.
I collaborated in this recipe with the wonderful British company Quality Sprinkles, which manufactures edible decorations.
I added that sparkling touch I wanted using one of their products that are a favorite of mine. And I got a dessert that is not just pretty, but also so tasty.

In this recipe, I used Quality Sprinkles fairy dust natural edible glitter that is also suitable for kosher, halal, and vegan eaters.
The uniqueness of this product is the fact that it is made of all-natural ingredients. It does not contain sugar, gluten, soy, nuts, hydrogenated fat, dairy products, and it is non-GMO.

I used this time their purple and red powders, but you can use whatever color you prefer. They have many amazing colors to choose from.

This dessert was a hit in my house, and I hope you will enjoy it too.
This mini cheesecake dessert in a glass is perfect for Shabbos, holidays, and special moments.

What do you need to know?
* You need to allow the cheesecake dessert to spend some time in the fridge before eating. Give it at least a night before eating to let it develop the flavors.
* It is essential to decorate the dessert a few minutes before serving. How come? Once a powdered color touches a moisturized surface, with time, it starts getting wet, and you'll see a bit of liquid on the dessert.
* How to keep the desserts from messing their tops? This tip is mostly for desserts with a piped top, but you can use it in hear as well. When making dessert cups, we want to maintain the elegant look, and not everyone has a big container to keep them. What I do is place them in a big pot, so their tops never touch the lid while closed.

Ingredients for 8-9 big cup desserts:
For the cheese:
1 cup whipping cream
1 cup low-fat cheese
1 pack of sour cream (200 ml, around 6.8 oz.)
1/3 cup instant vanilla pudding

Strawberry jam
10 petit beurre cookies (about 80 grams / 2.8 oz. - you can also use shortbread)
10-gram cold butter (0.35 oz.)

Preparation:
Crumble the petit beurre in a food processor with the cold butter. Crumble until you get fine crumbs and set aside.
Whip the cheese ingredients for a minute and a half, and assemble the dessert:
Sprinkle the petit beurre mixture generously into the dessert cups. Take about two teaspoons of strawberry jam and place on top. Finish with the cheese mixture and leave in the fridge for the night.
Once ready to serve, take cookie cutters and place them on the dessert. Sprinkle inside each cookie cutter with the fairy dust and take off the cutter to reveal the cute design.
The desserts are kept well in the fridge for at least three days in an airtight container or wrapped in cling film.
Enjoy!
