On-site, you'll be able to purchase a ticket for a tour in the factory or a combined ticket for a tour and a chocolate workshop (It's best to coordinate in advance).
I was invited to review the place, and we started with an eight-minute film about the history of chocolate and about Karina and the factory.
Afterward, we visited the production line (where I couldn't take pictures) - All the chocolates are handmade, with only one electric machine - the tempering wheel.
We saw the first stage of creating their signature product - The Mt. Hermon Perlin, which is made with a top of white chocolate as snow and a dulce de leche filling.
The Perlin was chosen as the signature product because it combines the Israeli tradition - Hermon mountain and the Argentinian tradition - dulce de leche.
We also saw the making of a delicacy - Mekupelet - a folded/curled chocolate bar.
They are very soft and therefore the sole product only sold on the spot.
After the tour, we got to taste some chocolates: chocolate Perlin filled with orange ganache, dark chocolate, and two more.
Then we got to the practical part - the chocolate workshop. We got a kit with two dark chocolate cups, 4 cubes of orange ganache, and a mold.
On the table were bottles with melted chocolate: dark, milk and white, and additional ingredients, such as coconut flakes and grated chocolate.
We got an explanation of how to work with the chocolate and started creating. The workshop is especially suitable for kids, but there are workshops for adults too.
There's a coffee shop on-site with a menu rich with chocolate and an amazing chocolate boutique.
Tickets to the tour + workshop for kids cost 55 NIS.
Tickets to the tour + workshop for adults cost 65 NIS.
The place is kosher lemehadrin, Cholov Israel, and pareve.
