The city garden plaza in Tel Aviv presents the ShoeArt exhibit, an exhibit of surrealistic shoe sculptures.
The exhibit by the Greek-born Israeli artist Costa Magrakis is located in the city garden of Tel Aviv near the shoe store complex.
The exhibit contains colorful shoe sculptures in a grotesque design inspired by legends, mythology, and cinema.
The result is dark and humorous sculptures.
The first raw material used by the artist are used shoes. He uses them as molds to create sculptures that combine materials and techniques and represent an ecological message.
Costa collects tossed shoes that might have a story and turns them into artistic sculptures.
The ShoeArt exhibition is located in the city garden in Tel Aviv, 71st Eben Gavirol street, from the 26th of April to the 25th of May 2021.
Opening hours: Sun-Thu: 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM, Fri: 9:30 AM - 3:00 PM. Free entrance.
