Regba kitchens and the designer Shira Keret have joined together to an impressive and creative collaboration.

 

 

לפני כשבע שנים החל המיזם המשותף של מטבחי רגבה עם אתר האינטרנט רידיזיין שהינו אתר המעניק במה למעצבים צעירים ממגוון תחומים ובו הם גם יכולים למכור את עבודותיהם.

דרך אותו אתר נוצר שיתוף הפעולה בין מטבחי רגבה למעצבת שירה קרת.

 

About 7 years ago began the corporation between Regba kitchens and Redesign - a website which gives a platform to young designers in variety of areas where they can also sell their works.

Through that website started the collaboration between Regba  kitchens and designer Shira Keret. 

 

 

שירה קרת יצרה סדרה המכונה "מונולית" - סדרה של כלי הגשה כאגרטלים, צלחות וקערות הגשה בגדלים שונים, שהוצגה בגלריות רבות בעולם.

הסדרה הזו נוצרה לאחר ששירה מצאה אבן שנחתכה בסילון מים והחליטה לקחת את הטכניקה שלרוב משמשת לחיתוך אבן ומתכת למקום אחר.

היא החלה לשחק בעוצמת זרם סילון המים ומהירותו, ומכיוון שסילון המים בתחילה חותך מדוייק ולאחר מכן פחות, נוצר תוצר שמצידו האחד הוא מדוייק ומצידו השני הוא בלתי צפוי.

 

Shira Keret created a series called "Monolith" - a series of serveware such as vases, serving plates and bowls in various sizes, that was presented in many galleries around the world.

The series was created after Shira found a stone cut in water jet and decided to take that technique, that mostly used in cutting metals and stone, to another place.

She began playing with the speed and strength of the water jet and because the water jet cuts at first precise and then less precise, the product created is very refined on one hand and very unexpected on the other.

 

 

את שיתוף הפעולה עם מטבחי רגבה לקחה שירה לתחום התאורה.

היא השתמשה בקוריאן שהינו חומר פולימרי המשמש לרוב למשטחים ואדניות ויצרה ממנו גופי תאורה צמודי-קיר.

הקוריאן הינו חומר שיכול להגיע לעובי דק ועל כן מאפשר מעבר אור וכן מאפשר שילוב של מגוון צבעים וטקסטורות למשטח אחד בעל מרקם אחיד.

כל גוף תאורה לעולם לא יהיה זהה לאחר מפאת השימוש בחיתוך במים.

 

Shira decided to take the collaboration with Regba kitchens to the lighting area.

She used polymer material named Corian that usually used for surfaces and planters and made wall mounted lighting fixture.

The Corian is a substance that can reach thin thickness, thus enables passage of light and also enables combination of colors and textures into single surface with uniform texture.

Each lighting fixture will never be the same to another fixture, because of the use of water jet cut.

 

 

הדיסקיות המהוות את גוף המונולית , מוחזקות על ידי תופסני פליז המצמידים אותם לבסיס המנורה, על מנת לא לפגום בשטחה וחלקה האחורי של המנורה, המשמש לתלייתה על הקיר, הודפס במדפסת תלת מימד.

סדרת המנורות "מונולית לייט", שמאוד מזכירה ליקוי ירח, נמכרת בלעדית בחנות רידיזיין במהדורה מוגבלת במחיר של 1,600 ש"ח ליחידה.

 

The discs that use as the monolith body are held by copper grippers that attach the disc to the base of the lamp, in order not to damage its surface and the back side of the lamp, used for hanging the light fixture on the wall, printed in a 3D printer.

The "Monolith light" series, that reminds much of an eclipse, is exclusively sold in Redesign store on limited edition at the price of 1,600NIS per unit.
