Chicken Kiev is a very simple, yet elegant dish made out of the pounded chicken breast, filled with margarine and herbs, rolled, coated with bread crumbs and fried or baked.
I saw in a cooking show that the chef fried the rolls and then baked them so that's exactly what I did.
Ingredients
20-gram margarine
Two chicken breasts pounded
Bread crumbs
Salt and pepper for taste
Flour
2 eggs, beaten
Parsley
Oil for frying
Plastic wrap
Aluminum foil
Preparation:
Spread the margarine on one half of the chicken breast. Add parsley as much as you like and season with salt and pepper. Roll and wrap with the plastic wrap. Do the same for the second chicken breast and put it in the freezer for 15 minutes.
Heat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius (392F).
Take the rolls and coat with flour, egg and bread crumbs and then again. Repeat The same with the second cut and put it in the freezer for another 10 minutes.
Fry the rolls until golden on each side and then bake for 25-40 minutes covered with foil.
