A cake that almost got an F, became quite a success, with B in appeaarance and A in taste, you should really give this "Catastrophic cake" a go.
Outside she looks like a block of wood, but inside you reveal a beautiful royal-looking chocolate cake that will please every crowd.
Ingredients:
497G (17.5 oz.) sweetened condensed milk
400G (14.1 oz.) softened butter
A bit of milk in a Plate
48 biscuits (petit beurre/shortbread)
300G (10.5 oz.) milk chocolate
Preparation:
Soak the biscuits in milk and place them on a baking sheet, creating a 4X4 table.
Mix the butter with condensed milk until well blended, and spread it on the biscuits.
Continue making layers of 4X4 and spreading the butter mixture in between. When you're left with just a bit of filling, spread it only on the middle columns.
Gently and Carefully, start closing with the baking sheet the two outer columns inside, just until they touch.
Let the cake sit for a couple of hours in the fridge.
Melt the milk chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl, and pour it on the entire cake. Place in the fridge for one last time to set.
When the cake is ready, it literally looks like a catastrophe - That's why I named it Catastrophe (besides the number of calories...), but when you slice it..tada!! A royal catastrophe appears.
