Best Cheese stuffed pretzel buns using 3 ingredients dough

This recipe is wonderful and straightforward to make. With only 3 ingredients, you get a fantastic dough that can be stuffed with cheese or other fillings. Mozarella and Bulgarian cheese were my choices, but of course, you can fill it with whatever you want or leave it empty.


 


From only three ingredients, you can make delicious pretzels or buns that are amazing the way they are. But for extra scrumptiousness, you should definitely add a filling of your choice and cheese is highly recommended. These are an easy fix and delicious buns!
The pretzel here is not like the classic pretzel with the crispy exterior, but a more softer texture - like a bun.

3 ingredients buns stuffed with cheese


Ingredients for 4 pretzels:
1 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp. dry yeast
200 ml sour cream

Stuffing:
mozzarella cheese
Bulgarian cheese flakes
or any preferred filling

oil spray
flour for dusting the working surface

beaten egg
coarse salt

Preparation:
Mix in the mixer or by hand the flour and yeast. Add the sour cream and knead on speed level number 2 for 10 minutes. If needed, stop the mixer and help the mixture come together by mixing it with a spoon. The dough will be wet, and that's fine.

You can, of course, knead manually, but knead well as you need to get a smooth and elastic dough. Transfer the dough to a greased bowl using greased hands. Once the dough is in the bowl, flip it once to cover it with oil on the other side as well. Let rest for 10 minutes.
Then divide into four equal parts and roll each dough into a round.

Then preheat the oven to 200C, turbo.
Sprinkle flour on a work surface and roll one of the balls into a long rectangle.

Fill with mozzarella and Bulgarian cheese on one end of the dough and roll into a snake or roulade. Tighten the edges of the dough and close it into a half-circle.
Place one strip on the other strip and then twist them on one another. Take each end of the strip and place it on the opposite side of the dough (see video for better explanation).
Brush with egg (no need for rising), sprinkle with coarse salt and bake on the middle rack of the oven for 20 minutes. Serve and enjoy, careful it's extra warm!
