When I received for review the chickpeas flour of the Tvuot company, I knew I want to make something crispy with it.
I searched online for ideas and came across a recipe for gluten-free chickpeas crackers.
After deciding to go on that idea, I gave that recipe a try. With just a few slight changes, I realized the recipe I found wasn't accurate, and the outcome was completely different than what you expect.
After more changes, I got crispy gluten-free crackers that are so delicious that you can't stop munching. They are perfect on their own, and they can suit perfectly with dips of choice.
As I stated above, I used in this recipe the chickpea flour of Tvuot. The flour is made of 100% natural, not roasted chickpeas. It is kohser parve by the Mate Yehuda Rabbinate.
The chickpea crackers are parve, gluten-free, do not contain eggs, vegan, and have only 4 ingredients!
Gluten free chickpeas crackers/recipe: Con Delight
I measured using universal cups and spoons
Ingredients for about 20 crackers:
1 cup chickpeas flour
1/2 teaspoon Italian style salt or regular salt
1 Tablespoon olive oil
3 Tablespoons water
Preparation:
1.Preheat oven to 200C, turbo/fan mode.
2.Mix the flour and salt.
3.Add the oil and water and knead until smooth.
4.Transfer the dough to a baking paper with a bit of chickpea flour. Coat the dough on all sides and roll between two parchment papers to a thin layer.
5.When the dough is still between the two baking paper sheets, flip it so that the upper end becomes the bottom. Now remove the new upper end.
6.Cut the dough into pieces using a pizza roller. You can cut to triangles, squares, etc.
7.Transfer the baking paper with the cut dough to a baking pan and bake for 20 minutes in the middle rack of the oven.
8.When done, take out of the oven and let cool.
9.Munch as is, or serve alongside dips. Enjoy!
