I just love putting this spread on Shabbos challah - Easy-fix homemade olive spread.
A delicious and straightforward olive spread recipe made under 5 minutes with ingredients found in almost every pantry. This recipe is not your typical tapenade since tapenade consists of anchovies, capers, and garlic.
This recipe is a simple made olive spread recipe that has a distinct olive flavor with a bit of seasoning and mayonnaise.
And when making it in a food processor, everything is much easier :-)
Homemade olive salad spread/recipe: con delight
The measurements were made using universal cups and spoons
Ingredients:
1 small can of pitted olives, drained (200 grams/7 oz. before straining, 85 gram/3 oz. after)
2 teaspoons olive oil
1 teaspoon lemon juice
2 Tablespoon mayonnaise or according to flavor
a touch of salt
Preparation:
Blend the olives in the food processor. Add the salt, olive oil, lemon juice, and 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise and blend.
Transfer to a bowl and check the seasoning. If you love extra mayonnaise, add more. I added another spoon (total of 2 spoons in the recipe). Keep in a closed jar in the fridge.
